January 1- January 5 is the remainder of the holiday season block (no events).  Snowshoeing and lowland hiking begin.  

  February

Snowshoeing and lowland hiking continue.  Spring OHW plans are implemented and registration opens. 

 March

Snowshoeing and lowland hiking continue. No events Easter Weekend (if in March).  

 April

Snowshoeing ends and lowland hiking/bicycling continues. No events Easter Weekend (if in April).  OHW payments due by second week.  Spring OHW takes place around the 3rd/4th weekend in April. Bicycling begins. 

 May

Higher elevation hikes begin/lowland hikes continue throughout the summer/fall months. No events Memorial Day/Mother's Day Weekends.  Bicycling continues. Summer retreat plans are implemented and registration opens. 

 June

Hiking/bicycling continues.  No events Father's Day Weekend.  

 July

Hiking/bicycling continues.  No events Independence Day.  Payment becomes due for summer retreat.  Higher elevation hikes are planned this month.

 August

Hiking/bicycling continues.  Higher elevation hikes are planned this month. Summer Retreat occurs. Fall OHW plans are implemented and registration opens.  

 September

Hiking/bicycling continues. No events Labor Day Weekend.  Higher elevation hikes are planned this month and end by early October. 

 October

More lowland hiking begins and bicycling continues.  Higher elevation hikes end. OHW payments due by 1st weekend. Fall OHW occurs on 2nd/3rd weekend this month. Fall Frolic occurs on last Saturday of this month.  

 November

Bicycling ends. Hikes end by the 2nd weekend.  No hikes until after January 5th.  No events Thanksgiving week.

 December

Christmas Party on 2nd Saturday of December, otherwise no events this month.

Season blocks:

holiday block-2nd weekend in November thru January 5th.

hiking block-all year except during the holiday season block.

bicycling block-all year except during the holiday season block.

snowshoeing block-January-March/early April.

Major annual events/dates:

Spring OHW-2nd or 3rd weekend in April (Sat/Sun)

Autumn OHW-2nd or 3rd weekend in October (Sat/Sun)

Main summer retreat - planned for August. Length is decided 6 months earlier.  Dates/locations can change!

Annual Fall Frolic - occurs the last Saturday in October

Christmas Party - occurs the 2nd Saturday in December (location TBD)

NO EVENTS-Christmas/New Years Eve & Day/Easter/Mother's Day/Memorial Day Weekend/Father's Day/Independence Day/Labor Day Weekend/Thanksgiving Week
